For low input agriculture that is already producing 1-2 tons per ha, the focus should be on raising productivity through natural regeneration and inorganic fertilizers. For highly productive agriculture, the focus should be to limit the harm to the atmosphere while maintaining the production levels. In both case there are tradeoffs.
