WSPA believes that any policy solutions to tackle climate emissions from agriculture must meet the triple test of being economically viable, ecologically sound and socially acceptable. WSPA is solutions oriented in its advocacy of humane and sustainable agriculture. We will have partner and our own materials showcasing this approach at the booth.

CGIARCGIAR

CGIAR is a global partnership that unites organizations engaged in research for a food secure future. CGIAR research is dedicated to reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, and ensuring more sustainable management of natural resources. It is carried out by the 15 centers who are members of the CGIAR Consortium in close collaboration with hundreds of partner organizations, including national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, and the private sector.

ACCCAdapting to Climate Change in China

The Adapting to Climate Change in China Project (ACCC) is an innovative policy research project, supporting China’s response to the impacts of climate change and evidence-based adaptation planning. ACCC provides decision-makers with the policy –relevant information they require, taking into account current and future climate change and variability. ACCC aims to improve understanding and assessment of impacts, vulnerability and risk in key sectors in China by bringing together policy and research, national and subnational planning, social and physical science for an integrated response. The project shares this experience and lessons learnt with other developing countries in order to reduce their vulnerability to the impacts of climate.

FANRPANThe Food Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN)

FANRPAN is an African multi-stakeholder food security policy analysis and advocacy network that has an Africa-wide mandate to promote effective Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources (FANR) policies by: (i) facilitating linkages and partnerships between government and civil society, and (ii) building the capacity for policy analysis and policy dialogue in southern Africa, and (iii) supporting demand-driven policy research and analysis.

CTA is a joint international institution of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States and the European Union (EU) with a mission to advance food and nutritional security, increase prosperity and encourage sound natural resource management in ACP countries. CTA provides access to information and knowledge, facilitate policy dialogue and strengthens the capacity of agricultural and rural development institutions and communities.

Farming First is a unique multi-stakeholder coalition, bringing together farmers, scientists and the private sector to articulate and to promote practical, actionable policies to further sustainable agricultural development worldwide. Our positions highlight the importance of improving farmers’ livelihoods and agriculture’s potential contribution to global issues such as food security, climate change, and gender.

Harfam Afforestation Indonesia

Harfam is a Teak and Cadamba forest management company that works with the principle of Afforestation. HARFAM present the alternative campaign solutions in terms of adaptation to global climate change in Indonesia. The program is known as the “Green for Wealthiness”. Where HARFAM program’s focused on three sectors. First, empowering communities in forest management. Second, improve the ecological sustainability of land into more productive which also function in carbon sequestration. The last focus are support the community economical and economic benefit our partners. Of course, by applying the concept of sustainable forest management, together with the community and HARFAM partners in Bondowoso Regency (East Java), Indonesia.

Fairtrade offers consumers a powerful way to reduce poverty and instigate change through their everyday shopping. This model can play an important role in tackling climate change and mobilizing support for climate vulnerable communities too.
